Tech wii remote broke tv

Well, it finally happened! My daughter was playing w/the wii,not wearing the wrist thing, and sure enough it got thrown into the tv Luckily, it can still be watched but now our 65 inch has a crack in it. Just a reminder to everyone to put on your wrist! Anyone else had any wii accidents?

This is my worst nightmare! Ours is wall mounted above our mantle so I would think it would be hard to hit it but still!

I always worry about this. I don't know what I'd do if it happened to my large screen plasma mounted on my wall. Yes, people please be careful with that Wii.

My husband and I play on occasion, but we don't make any flailing movements. We always wear the wrist thingie. DH insists! He'd cry if anything happened to the TV.

We try to alway keep the strap on - luckily my son's favorite game is MarioKart, so there is less danger of damage or injury with the wheel. Hubby would definitely go into a mini coma if we trashed the TV.

My BF plays the Wii much more than I do but he never wears the strap! He won't even keep the straps on the remote so when my little sister comes over, she doesn't use it either. She's 5 and she hasn't had any accidents yet, but maybe I need to be more firm about the strap thing. I think I will pass out if our plasma broke over a flying Wii remote.

this is why i always get annoyed when people play my wii without the wrist strap. it freaks me out lol

i'm glad your tv can still function after this incident! I do hear this often due to nature of my work, and most tv can't function at all after it's been struct by wii remote.

She felt really bad - even offered to use her savings to pay for it. My DH was upset at first. I kept telling him it was an accident and he was ok later.
