Please help me with my latest obsession, dark color wide leg jeans. I am 5-3 weighting 150lbs. I do want a pair of dark wash wide leg jeans for me but I had no luck! I hate keep returning. Can someone help me with my quest to find it?,

Wide leg jeans for curvy shortie?

I used to love madewell jeans (I am 5’2 and pre covid was heavier than you are) . The higher rise was more flattering for me and also held me in. 
It would probably help though if you could go to a department store to try on a bunch of brands, styles and sizes (when you go, you should wear your favorite top that you would pair with jeans and the shoes/boots/sneakers/heels you would wear with them). If you are restricted to buying on line, you would need to know your ideal inseam; rise; size; and true measurement (waist and hip).

For jeans the easiest is Zara for my shape. I've been hunting for more premium jeans forever but they just never fit right. I got tried of returning and just order Zara. I always have to tailor them a little which usually costs more than the jeans 🤣 but eventually I get the perfect fit.
Thank you so much for the replies. I know I should go to the stores to try bunches but many times it doesn't offer enough varieties. I will make a day for my quest and trying on as many as I can. Thank you for the great insights for prepping for that trip ... never thought of wearing fav shoes and top to match when I try on. I will be in japan next week so hoping I can try some shorter inseam jeans! Keeping fingers 🤞

For a wide variety of figure types, petite or regular, NYDJ, Not Your Daughter's Jeans, has lots of options. If you are in the US, Nordstrom carries a lot them. I think you call also order directly from NYDJ too.
Highly recommend the 7 for all Mankind Alexa. It’s a trouser jean, 27” “crop” inseam… high rise..wonderful fit.

Joes Jeans might have something, but oddly it seems like dark wash, not black) is not easy to find
I ended up trying like 7 pairs at Nordstrom. I needed my girlfriend to judge me but i was alone so i will try again!
After trying for over 20 wide leg jeans, i finally chose a winner... it is Page Anessa.
