Why is Sukey so popular?

I was walking down 5th Ave in NYC yesterday and all of sudden noticed how many people were actually carrying this bag. I'm used to seeing lots of LV Neverfulls and Speedy's in the city, but not that many of the same Gucci bag. So now I wonder, what made this bag so popular (especially the large one with cream trim)???
Let me know your thoughts on it.

I think it's price.... you get quite a nice BIG bag for a good price.....

Agree about the price but if it was an ugly bag, people still won't buy it even at a lower price point. I think the design and the style of the bag appeals to a lot of people (it's not simply a regular tote with a monogram) - it's roomy without being too large (medium size) and it's current but classic. The sukey style is not stuck to one season or trend.

I am attracted to the large sukey in the guccissima leather.
It is a functional tote with a cute shape. It reminds me of the Chanel baby cabas, which I sold because I found it slightly too small.
To each their own, different people like different things.

Big bags are in....so I think the large sukey is a good choice if that is what your looking for....

i think it's mainly the shape and the GG ornament on it. at first i was totally in love with it but now that so many people have it....its not as special to me anymore.
