I know your question is from last month, but I thought I would just shed a little light, if you're still curious.
The 13" does have a larger processing speed (2.4 or 2.8 GHz) what you should see is that the amount of MB is half of the 15". Processing speed is important, but the size of the cache is immensely important in performance. Simply put, the cache cuts the time needed to access data from memory.
