Why do some bags not have the silver embossing ? There just embossed

I have noticed this on a few bags , i just realized this on my new Christopher Pm reverse eclipse monogram backpack. Does anyone know why this is ? Some bags just have the embossing in the leather and that’s it I’m kind of curious why this is.

I believe it's an option to have the leather stamped without color. It looks more subtle, so some people like it. Probably a great idea with wallets, as frequently handled items can show wear/fading on the imprinted color.
