I ordered online and going to return because these air lines are too much. I'm ok with a bit but this seems like a lot. Am i crazy or are my expectations too high?

i agree with the other replies, return. that is not the quality of a 12k bracelet 
Oh and just to be clear, none of my Alhambra pieces look like that. So I don’t think it’s normal.

I agree, but I do believe that appears to be a pendant.
I purchased the same VA GMOP necklace a few months ago in July, and after looking at it today, yes mine has almost that much of airlines too

You must not have noticed it until today, so please try to forget you saw this! The good news is, if the gmop gets a lot of wear (scratches, for example), you can always pay to have the motif replaced. I'd just wear it and enjoy it now, and don't worry about replacing it until it really needs it.
Yeap you are right, didn’t notice it until now and honestly when I wear it on my neck, you won’t be able to notice these airlines until I lift it up against the sunlight. Thanks for the advise!

Mine looks like yours too and like you I don’t notice when I’m wearing it.

You can also take it since it hasn’t been that long and see if they’ll replace it under a quality issue for you (it’s $240 or so, but might as well do it now because they might not charge you since it shouldn’t be this way). Good luck, it’s a beautiful necklace!
Just checked all of my MOP Alhambra pieces and I don't see a gap like this. You are not crazy at all and your exceptions are not too high!! You are right to be upset.
