Wondering who screwed on your bracelet for you when you first got it? I like the idea of a loved one screwing it on so much, but I've heard stories on here around people saying it's best to have the SA do it since they know how to do it properly to avoid stripping the screws or having the bracelet fall off.

I just got mine in the mail and wondering if I should take it to the store to have it fastened.

The SA did mine for me. She told us to tighten up each side, little by little, switching sides back & forth to make sure the bracelet stayed perfectly aligned. Then she tightened it up with a bit more strength at the very end, so it was nice and secure. There's no need to use crazy strength on it. Once it's tight, no need to keep trying to tighten it further. Hope that helps!

If you've been itching to go to the boutique, this would be the perfect reason to go though. ;) I'd be afraid of getting tempted by all the other pretty things. LOL.

Highly recommend an SA to do it. I saw how mine did it. She placed her pinky finger on the bracelet right next to screw head, where it was just touching the screw driver. So as she screwed in, her pinky prevented the bracelet from movement, and kept the screw driver upright and in place (less possibility of sliding and scratching).
She definitely took her time, like @thundercloud said, little by little, back and forth on each side.
I just got mine on 20Jun2021 and I check it every couple days or so, so far so good!

I watched a YouTube tutorial from a former Cartier employee and then did it myself (pretty much how it was described above). Basically, tighten each side about ~75% of the way, then tighten each side a little more, and then a little more, alternating sides. Check the screws daily and tighten if needed for about the first week or so. Since then I've never had the screws loosen and I've had mine on for about two years.

Hello, just a quick update! ;)

I mentioned a bit ago that my SA screwed on my love bracelet. She also recommended me to check it from time to time for about a month and tighten the screws if they got loose.

It's been a month and a few days since I got the bracelet. It has done wonderfully so far! And, I just noticed yesterday that one of the screws got a tad bit loose. There was a slight gap between the 2 sides. I pushed the sides of the bracelet together, made a small click sound, and tightened the screw a bit. Other screw was completely fine.

And that's it! The one and only time that a screw got a tad loose in the span of a month!

Hope that helps!
