So while I am whiling away the time until I get my 140 cm I was wondering if many of us are hoping to get the Cheval sur mon carre in Jersey.
Are there many of these around yet? I have seen one or two on the forum but they seem to be in the US and not in Europe yet. Am I right?
I wonder will they fly out.
Especially in the black and white.
By the by does anyone think they'll be a lot more delicate than the GM shawl? I really think I want one but I haven't actually ever handled a jersey yet. Have the red/black colourway in the shawl and it gets lots and lots of wear...

Hi, yes I just got mine this week in the black and white. I have two other Jerseys and
I don't think they are delicate, they are so easy to work with especially as a top, and
when tied, they fall into a waterfall type effect. You will love jersey!

Me me me! Am getting a bit antsy, as it seems there's lots of US stores with these, yet my SA hasn't called. I have a Brides de gala jersey but not a GM. So far no snags, in spite of a toddler, pets, and my chronically dry chapped hands.

I've been obsessing about these too, but I worry about the seemingly high potential for snags. :push:

Would love to hear more opinions on the "snag issue" from those who already own jersey scarves!

Hi i'm in the UK and got the black version this week.....Bond street has the red and green and i know selfridges has the red....so they are definately about..... They do seem delicate but are incredibly soft.

I actually tried one on yesterday at the Vienna (Tyson) boutique, they had the black and white if anyone is interested and I think some other color as well. Very soft to the touch, I would not wear it as a top though and I passed on it.

Definitely a bit cooler and less volume, but where I live, anything around my neck in the summer is too hot! As for snags, I swear I've caught mine on a hangnail or on DD's fingernails, but when I looked for a snag I didn't find one. To me, they feel more delicate than the regular twill silk, but haven't proven to be easier to damage...yet. Even so, I haven't let my cats or dog within 10 feet of it.

I don't think I could possibly wear it as a top (wish I could) but I think it will still be lovely as a scarf.

^^^ I thought exactly the same as I felt a bit, er shall we say vulnerable, but I just wear a little cami underneath in warmer weather, or when it's cooler, it looks stunning as a top with worn with an open cardigan. I have the Caleche Elastique (at least I think that's the name) in brun/mastic/blanc (again not too sure that's correct) and would love another one, they drape beautifully.

I have three jerseys and a bunch of GM c/s (although I trimmed my GM collection of the ones I don;t wear). . . I think the GM c/s have more snag potential than the jersey curiously. My SA warned me not to get the jersey because she knows I am careless, but I ended up getting and loving them.

I am not a fan of CSMC in jersey though. I would prefer more black in that particular pattern.

P.S. The jersey is perfect with the mors scarf ring.

Mmmmm black and white. I know how much I wanted this colour in the cashmere, I hope it is lovely in the jersey.

I must look up the mors scarf ring. Never know how to use these at all.
