A red bag has been on my list, and I'm starting to do some research into it. I'm flexible on style, but something in the medium to large size range. I'm super picky about reds though. I like a true deep but bright red, and I'm not into reds that lean orange. This is the type of red I prefer:

I do not like this type of red:

Any recs on brands or bags to look into? Obviously, the red I love is from LV, but I'm not super into anything from LV lately. I was considering Polene, but I can't tell from pics if I would like their red. I've seem some photos where it looks like what I want and others where it looks orange-y. I'm open to just about anything, but would like to keep it to under $1000. Any thoughts/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Chanel and Gucci have done some seriously amazing reds. The "traffic red" from Launer London is also a perfect, non-orange red. Hard to beat the red of vintage Coach(like the 1970s turnlock stuff). The red of Frank Clegg bags are a really nice, bright crimson. I also have a bag from Kate Spade that is one of the truest reds I have ever seen.

I second the Dior recommendation on reds. Their scarlet is very pretty. Gucci has a red I like as well. Celine had some beautiful red in the past/pre-Slimane era.

Good luck with your choice!

Gucci hibiscus red or Burberry military red. Or something from Mulberry. Here are mine.
