White + Warren travel scarves

I just purchased a White + Warren cashmere travel scarf, after seeing great reviews. I wore it today for the first time, and it shed all over my black coat!

This is my first light-colored cashmere scarf, so maybe I just never noticed my dark-colored ones shedding - but is this normal? It's making me question the quality. Anyone else have experience with White + Warren?

Not with White + Warren, but I have a few things, even white 100% linen tees (since when does linen shed?) that shed like that and I think it just means poor quality. Even after washing a few times, lint everywhere.

Longer fibres are less prone to shedding, so what does this tell you about the garments we are buying. Answer -- cheap quality, even if the cost is not.
