Which is between these 2 more :
1) classic
2) timeless
3) easy to mix and match

Dear ladies,
I'm sorry if this sounds 'impractical' and 'fickle-minded'.
I've been longing for cartier love necklace WG with diamonds like forever. Sweet DH finally ordered and paid the deposit for the necklace and will be getting it in July. However i'm still not 100% contented and still thinking 'what if I get a rose gold instead'.

Currently, i'm wearing wg earings, a dainty plat with diamond necklace and a steel watch.
However, my future wishlist is cartier love bracelet in rose gold, and wishfully thinking of getting a 2 tone bracelet rolex.
I'm sure my current jewelery mix well with WG love necklace, but what if for the future purchase....

Or should i opt for rose gold, so that it goes well with my future purchase..but I dont think it looks good with all my current 'white' jewellery.

Sorry if this may be sound insane, but i dont want to trap into 'buyer remorse' later on.... HEEEELLLPPPPP!!!!!

What will you be wearing with the necklace? How often do you plan on wearing it? Will you wear it casually or for special evenings? Do you plan on wearing all your LOVE stuff together? Maybe go try several pieces on together. It may be "too much" to wear the love necklace and bracelet and Rolex watch.

Also how soon would you be acquiring the bracelet and Rolex?

If you are wearing it casually, I'd go with the WG.

I plan to wear it on daily basis... I'm a SAHM, however I love to look 'presentable' at all times. Well, I normally wear a small WG diamond earrings, a stainless watch, and a plat wedding band. I would love for some changes....

I'm saving and planning to get the bracelet prob within a year, and for Rolex maybe longer, I dont know 3 or 4 years down the road.

Does rose gold look 'formal' in your opinion, ladies???

I don't think rose gold is necessarily formal, but based on what you said you wear daily (casually), I think the WG would go better.

I personally haven't seen too much mixing of rose and white gold, so I can't say whether that will look good.

I love mixed metals, and I love rose gold, but I think that WG sounds like a better choice for you. Since most of your current jewelry is WG, rose would look a little out of place. Also, I tend to prefer rose for bracelets or rings, because I think it can get a little lost around your face. For example, I recently tried on a RG ring and it really popped against my hands, but when I tried on the matching earrings the color was very "blah." I think the same thing might happen with a necklace. I do also think it can be more casual than WG.

The Cartier Trinity collection may be a nice alternative. You will have the white, yellow and rose gold in one piece. They are complementary to most other jewelry you might have--at least that is what I have found.

I love rose gold too, and have been contemplating the same question, as I'm hoping to get one of the Cartier love necklaces for my birthday in July. I figure I'm gonna go down to the store, and just decide on which looks best on me :p I will need to bring friends! Cos I've tried them on a couple of times, and still can't decide!

Does one or the other look better on you?

I love the look of rose gold mixed with white gold. I don't particularly like yellow gold mixed with either white or rose.

I have a rose gold necklace that I wear quite a lot (with my otherwise white gold/stainless jewelry). But it was a $300 necklace, and is very casual. It's beautiful and a fun piece, and I get lots of compliments. If I were looking at something that I would wear every day, the Cartier Love necklace, a diamond cross or diamond heart, etc., I would choose white gold. To me, white gold is more classic than rose gold (rose has just recently come back, after being MIA for, what, 20 years?), and I prefer my "almost every day" jewelry to match my watch (stainless & diamonds) and my wedding rings (white gold and diamonds).

Sally- I will say get it in white gold (because that's what you wear the most), I have in yellow gold because that is what I mostly wear, unless you wear two tone jewelry then it will not look "out of place". G/L :smile1:
