My old Sunset large, the new Envelope large... Which is more beautiful?
I wish that the gold on the Envelope was less yellow, the strap was shorter so I don’t have to tie it inside to wear it single-strap and that it’s more stable when standing upright. Too many faults but I might keep her anyway...

Both bags are lovely.
I love the sunset bag! I've been eyeing the small woc version recently.
Let me know how you get on with it please and what the wear and tear is like.
I'm going to buy one if I still love it come the summer.

Thank you!
I got the sunset bag in 2018. but I have carried it only couple of times because it doesn’t hold much inside though it’s a large size. I haven’t returned it because I like the look and it seems durable. It doesn’t show any sings of wear and tear but it’s not my everyday bag. Also I don’t like to carry it in summer, to me it has more winter vibe maybe because of cold looking hardware

Thank you for your response.
I see what you mean about it being a winter bag, with the silver hardware and its black.
I think it's such a classic and classy looking bag, it won't look dated in a few years. I want to go in store to try one on for size after the pandemic is over.
I'm not a massive fan of the mix of quilted and chevron on the envelope flap but a lot of people seem to really love it.

I have the sunset as my new everyday bag but the envelope was a close runner up. I personally love the tri-quilt and think it's so unique and edgy but I also didn't like that it couldn't stand upright very well compared to the sunset. I might bite the bullet on the envelope too in the future though.

To me Sunset bags are so much smaller than you would expect, even the large size, and very heavy but they are so beautiful. I just had to keep it no matter what. Right, the best to try it in the shop first.

I’ve returned the envelope, the deal breaker for me was overly gold hardware, many people like that, but it doesn’t look good on me. In some lights it’s almost orangey. I prefer champagne gold, LV gold is also much subtle than I got on the envelope. Not sure if all YSL gold hardware is so dark yellow. But the front of the envelope is very interesting espcially when the lightning hits it right.
