Which would you choose? Vintage Dolce & Gabbana or Vintage Tod's snake bag?

I am not familiar with either's exotics. Both are vintage. Do you have reason to believe one brand does snake better than the other?

Ultimately, I know, the one that makes my heart sing, but both are so interesting to me. I prefer the D&G from the front, but love the Tod's from the side (even thought it kind of looks like a uterus). I am leaning towards the Tod's, but am curious to hear from folks.

Tod’s hands down.
Tho I don’t know what you consider vintage but that Tod’s Sella Bag is maybe ten years old.
Thank you for the name! I had no idea. I've never seen this bag before. I just looked them up and there also seems to be a more square-like Sella, kind of a Boston bag. I was so taken by this unusual shape! It looks totally impractical, but so interesting. I'll dig around tPF to see if folks have discussed it here.

From the care POV the Tods will keep better as leather side panels will give it more stability and the snakeskin can remain flatter around the main body of the bag, front and back. I also think it looks more modern.

The Dolce is fab and it's got a vintage vibe - if that's what you're going for.
Good point! I didn't think about why the Tod's kept it's shape so much better, though it should have been obvious. I had no idea the ages of either (thanks again @V0N1B2). I love the vibe of the D&G. I currently have 2 Tod's have have bought and sold several. For me, Tod's doesn't disappoint!

Have a look in the celebs w/Tod’s thread. Taylor Swift had this bag in every colour, I think
It was pretty popular circa 2013/2014. The squarer Sella Bag with the piping/stitching is a more recent redesign - around 2017/2018 I think.

I also prefer the Tods. I love the D&G but looking at the side view, the hardware seems to overwhelm it, as it just kind of flops and is almost being held up by the straps. The sides are very soft and not holding their shape, which is fine for a lot of bags, just depends on your preference.
