I love these two very different necklaces and want to buy one for Christmas - please give me your thoughts girls!

There's the Aria diamond pendant (.44 carats, $3750 CND)...

And the 1897 gold 32 inch long gold circle station necklace...($3050)...

Very different I know but I love both!!

In terms of what I already have in my "fine" jewelry box that's similar... I have the white gold socrates VCA 3 flower diamond pendant (also 16 inches long), the VCA white gold and mother of pearl 20 motif 32 inch long necklace... and the Jennifer Meyer small gold leaf with diamonds pendant (16 inches long).

I just love them both!! What looks more chic? More expensive? More iconic? (I think I know the answer to that one) More special? Which do you think I'd love for longer?

Thanks! Love hearing your opinions!!

WOW - I think it's unanimous!! That's really interesting... well you've all definitely pushed me in the gold necklace direction!! It's a good call because IF I ever do find my original engagement ring (I somewhat suspect my toddler moved it b/c other jewelry has gone missing like ONE Kate Spade earring, etc), I would make a pendant out of it - and how many diamond pendants does one girl need right?

I've been so chicken to wear the Socrates one! I think b/c it was so expensive... I feel like it should only be for "special" but then how much "special" is there for a stay-home-work-at home mom of two toddlers? Definitely not everyday wear!

Maybe I'll have a jeweler copy the aria one day. I think you're right - in terms of bang for the buck, and recognizable style, the 1897 has the aria beat.

Will let you know if I get that one or find something else! (I have a $2,000 credit at Tiffany's). :)
