So you might have read in my previous thread that I am going to be getting the small oval YG key.

Now I am deciding between the YG "G" pendant:

And the silver with diamonds "G" pendant:

It would be nice to have my only 2 Tiffany's items in different colours, however my main concern is that silver tarnishes so I worry about it's longevity. Also several people on the "Worth it not worth it" thread has said that Tiffany's silver is not worth it. I did see the silver pendant at the store the other day and loved it...they did not have the gold in stock but I imagine I like the look of the silver better.

Which do you like better?

They're both really cute, I don't think u can go wrong either way. Now I want them. I like silver because it matches my rings but gold would look so nice with a tan....

tiffanys is known for their silver but sometimes i feel like its being overdone. i like the gold because you can immediately tell by the styling that its tiffanys but its unique because not alot of people have tiffany's gold.

In regard to g - it looks great! I personally would not order it with diamonds. I saw letter in the store with diamonds and it did not impress me a bit.
I ordered P for myself. I don't like m or n (as in my or my kid name), so I decided to get my cat name!
Good luck in choosing! I will post the picture when I get mine.

I have the same "h" pendant in silver without the diamonds. I love it, and personally I would go with the silver because I don't wear yellow gold. I really don't worry about my Tiffany silver tarnishing...it's really easy to keep them shiny and new looking with their silver polishing cloth. Dh got me a Peretti heart pendant about 10 years ago which got forgotten about in the back of my jewelry box until my 4 year old dd discovered it last year. The pendant was tarnished so badly it was almost black, but just using the cloth I had it looking shiny and new in about 10 minutes. Don't worry about a thread telling you if the silver is "worth it" or not...I've added many new Tiffany silver pieces to my jewelry collection in the past couple years and I think they are 100% worth it. Get the necklace you love the most...they're both beautiful!

Tarnished so badly it's almost black! My greatest fear! lol Does Tiffany's also sell some kind of solution to dip the silver into? Would you say Tiffany's silver can still look good after 20+ years?

Do you happen to have a modeling pic of your H pendant? :graucho: I have a friend whose initial is H who might be interested!
