Hi All!

I would love some advice. I have been wanting a tennis bracelet for ages and am now stuck deciding between two. Unfortunately I cant keep both :(

The first one is a classic tennis bracelet 8 cts in yellow gold. I LOVE the yellow gold but admittedly, I was a bit let down when the bracelet came in because I thought it looked a little too small?

The second is a diamond halo bracelet 7 cts in white gold. I love the coverage with this! And its $1000 cheaper than the 8 carat. If this was in yellow gold i would definitely choose this one, but unfortunately, its only available in WG.

I thought about going the custom route but I don't personally know any jewelers that do custom work (I have also waited for so long that I dont know if I have the patience to wait for a custom piece lol). Any thoughts? Maybe something else Im not thinking about? The color and clarity on both bracelets is the same.

TIA!

I vote for the classic in yellow gold! The halo is gorgeous and looks more like a special occasion piece, and I’m not sure how I feel about the center diamonds standing up from the halo. That’s personal preference I know; I prefer bracelets with stones set flush.

I feel eventually you will have a special occasion piece too, but I’d recommend starting with the classic.

How much more would it be for an 8ct classic yellow gold?

I vote for the halo. I was underwhelmed when I saw the classic tennis bracelet too. I wanted it for so long but it did not look nice on me. unless I bought one with big diamonds but that would be out of my budget. I ended up buying a bracelet with 3 of small diamonds.
I don’t think the WG is very obvious when the diamonds are big. In fact I think the WG will make the diamonds look bigger. But thats only my opinion

Just throwing this out there… I didn’t start with the idea of a tennis bracelet, I started with the idea of a bangle (didn’t have to have diamonds), and I ended up with a Tiffany T bangle with pave diamonds. They’re small but there are a lot of the so it has the visual “weight” that I like. Offering a pic to help with consideration in case this falls within your parameters too!E0E2434A-B0DE-44B3-9732-00B88FE3FC4E.jpeg

Hello, everybody, & Happy new year. It is strange that I had the same dilema, choosing between 2 tennis bracelets. If it was a third it will be more confusing. I chose one. If I had to choose it will be the yellow one.and only one, because it keeps the value and has nothing to do with the other that "looks bigger".The only one is the yellow. Calculations should be done on how many stones are setted find the carat weight of each and find out approximately which is the value.
1.The yellow can become Black.White and Rose gold.I have tried all of these techniques. It 's done by electroplating with Rhodium. No white gold jewellery is white ..its the rhodium that makes it sparks. All the jewellery that has smaller parts shows defects when in use, falling of stones is very common. When used frequently white gold jewellery the Rhodium faints and becomes dull and off white. You need too plate it again with rhodium. The procedure is polishing when done carefully possibly no issues but after polishing , you have to clean it. When cleaning on ultrasound that is the drama. The stones will fall off. After all my calculations I will keep the 12.18 ct I checked every each diamond.I love it. GOD BLESS YOU PEOPLE

Definitely the classic line in yellow of the two - 8 ttcw is an incredible size and it looks beautiful on your wrist, plus is already in your preferred choice of metal colour.

Caveat: if you are not 100% about the classic line bracelet, then carry on looking for one that makes your heart sing. In my experience, when I have been lukewarm about a piece I eventually end up selling it and buying what I really want, usually at a loss! :noggin:

Would you consider the same classic line bracelet in white gold? I only ask as I normally prefer yellow gold jewellery too, but I think diamond tennis bracelets tend to look brighter and bigger in white gold. If you stack, the white will also ‘pop’ next to your other bracelets. I suspect that you might find that the 8 carat line bracelet has a bigger visual impact on your wrist in white gold.

The stones standing up is a really good point... now Im wondering if there would be more of a chance of the stones snagging or even falling out? The 8ct is about $1000 more than the 7 ct halo. I think this is where I'm stuck- the halo being a better price and having better coverage! Do you think the halo would be too much to wear everyday ( or even viable since the stones arent flush)?

This is gorgeous!! I would definitely have to save a bit more but I like the idea of not having to worry about links wearing out. The bangle looks much sturdier and suitable for daily use! Also love the way it looks with your love bracelet!

Does not seem like you love either one, so i vote return both and look for one you love .
Costco often has sales on diamond tennis bracelets .
You don’t love either so return both. Why keep and pay for something you’re underwhelmed with and don’t love It should be relatively easy to find the halo style you like in yellow gold.

This is also true... I think that I have waited to long to get a bracelet that its hard for me to have a bit more patience to wait for something else. I thought about going the custom route but unfortunately dont know anyone that does custom work. I have heard great things about David Klass on this thread but he is so busy, I have had a hard time getting responses from him.

These are both from costco! The yellow gold was on sale during the holidays so I got a great price. Surprisingly I havent found halo bracelets in yellow gold in good specs anywhere.

This is exactly how I felt! I think tennis bracelets look much bigger on camera than they do in real life lol.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments! I tried the classic line in both the white gold and yellow gold and i couldnt tell much of a difference. I think when I take pictures the WG looks bigger but on camera but not so much in real life.

Now I am starting to wonder if I should just wait. I got these both for a great price so I just dont want to regret it if I end up returning and then changing my mind. Lots to think about

Thank you for your comments! This is a good point about white gold losing its color... I plan to wear this everyday so this is something to keep in mind. Did your yellow gold turn black?? This yellow gold bracelet is 8 carats with 46 diamonds so .17 each diamond?
