Hello guys, I need your help please: I would like to stack a sweet Alhambra necklace with my YG Cartier d'Amour necklace for daily wear.
I like the carnelian the most, but since I do not have a VCA store anywhere near me, I am afraid to get a colour I would not like. Should I go for the hammered one, even though it's in RG?

I would prefer both necklaces to be YG.

This is a mini necklace in yellow gold:

Hi, the carnelian sweet alhambra necklace is also in RG. I am not against mixing metals, especially with dainty pieces, but if you want to stick with sweet alhambra in YG, it will have to be the MOP.
If you are open to mixing metals, and since you love carnelian most but worry about the shade, you can order from the website and return it if you do not like it. You can also do a phone order from a boutique and exchange it for another if you do not care for the shade, and that way a SA can help you select the right color. However, I will note that it is hard to choose carnelian remotely, since it is somewhat translucent and looks different on your skin compared to when it is on a tray or held up to the light. If the SA has a skin tone similar to you, I would ask them to try it on to see what it will look like on you.

Thank you for your advice, sadly we don’t have a VCA store in my country, so the only option would be to call the online store and see if they can help me.
Do you think the RG will clash visibly with YG in such a dainty piece?

You are welcome. I think it will be ok because the metal is so dainty for the sweet and because Cartier YG is not a bright yellow.

I just had another thought. I don’t have a VCA in my state (USA) or in a nearby state, so all of my orders are remote. I have a SA in London, even though I am in the USA, and they can ship to me here, so perhaps ordering from a store in another country is an option. Some department stores can ship to other countries and some department stores have VCA stores.

I'm a huge fan of VCA's RG because it's very pink, at the same time, it can be too much for people who are used to wearing YG. Most of the jewelry pieces I own are in RG, but when pair with my VCA RG pieces I can still see a difference. I actually do own the sweet carnelian pendant and I think the carnelian actually make the RG look even more pink because the red hue reflect onto the metal  I'd suggest you to try both sweet carnelian and sweet mop before you decide which one to keep. Some people are fine with mixing metals but I'm not a huge fan of mixing VCA's RG with YG. I think Cartier's RG would be fine though as I've mixed Cartier RG with YG pieces before since Cartier's not nearly as pink.

That's very useful, thank you! My nearest store is Paris, and I will try to get in touch with them and see what they say :)

I really wish I could go to a store and try all of them on, perhaps I will have to plan a trip to Paris some time soon :)

It can definitely be a pain if you don't live close to a boutique. I think with carnelian it's best to pick one out in the person though since it comes in a range of red with different undertones so you may want one that's most flattering to your skin tone. :amuse:

I think I will wait with purchasing until I can get into a store then. After all, how can I decide which one to buy without trying it on..
