I have a few Alhambra pendants mostly in yg (Guilloche, carnelian, tiger eye, rose gold hammered) and want a pair of simple earrings to wear everyday. I think the sweet Alhambra are the only style that would work bc I don't like big jewelry. I can't decide which pair to get. I wish the sweet size came in YG diamonds or Guilloche bc those would work easily. So far, I'm thinking black onyx or RG hammered but would love thoughts. I hesitate on the black onyx bc it looks a bit dressy to me and I'm so casual (tanks tops and shorts most days) but my husband said it's in my head. Would love thoughts!!

I do not think they are "better" but black is a little harsher on the skin while the red in carnelian is softer

I know folks have different thoughts on this one - but if you’re not a super matchy matchy person, you could also consider Frivole minis. I have the rose gold minis and match them with my YG TE pendant, YG magic carnelian, and RG hammered pendants.
Frivole looks ‘prettier’ on my ears than the sweets - but this is very different from person to person!
The black onyx looks almost ‘edgy’ to me (vs dressy) in the sweet size, as they are basically studs, so I think you’d be totally fine with those for casual wear. These were carnelian, but I made the pic b&w for reference

Thank you so much!! I did try the frivole but the shiny gold was just a bit much on me. Interestingly enough, my hubby also said onyx looked edgy than dressy! WG pave sweets. I wear them with EVERYTHING and everywhere. Great travel earrings too.
I have the YG MOP Sweets and wear them as every day casual earrings.
Depends on your hair color. With earrings if you tend to leave your hair down a lot or don't always expose your ears, you want something brighter or more contrasting to your hair color. If you have dark or black hair, black onyx will look lost on you as opposed to MOP, carnelian, or hammered. I have very long dark brown hair and didn't love how sweet onyx look on me, the VA and magic MOP were much more flattering imo because earrings are worn close to the face, the stones in the right shade(s) can have brightening effect to the complexion. If you don't mind mixing metals, I think the WG pave is prettier and more versatile.
Sounds like yg pave would be a good option or yg hammered but idk if these are available in sweet size
I have yg pave sweets and to me they are best option for yg Alhambra collection. Can ask SA if you can order them.
I have the black onxy sweets and I love them. I’m not a dressy person at all. They are a great everyday piece for me.
