Which super mini? Dionysus or marmont?

Happy Weekend all! Just wanted to get your opinion on the two bags below, especially to the super mini owners. Do you still love your super mini bags? Even if you don’t have the bag more than happy to hear your thoughts and comments.

I am looking for a new mini bag to get and I stumbled upon the gorgeous green super mini Dionysus which peaked my interest, especially which Swarovski crystals so wanted to know how reasonably useful is the bag. I do have and love mini/nano/micro bags so the size is not something new to me. How do you guys find the super mini? Worth to get or should I get one size up? How abt between Dionysus and marmont? Which one is likely to stay in style more? The black one I have always loved and the GG logo on the front is such a classic, clean and simple design. But recently when I saw the emerald green colour online it’s stunning. And there aren’t that many green gorgeous bags out there right?? It’s like something from the wizard of oz!

Anyhow, would love to hear the pros and cons for the bag? And also which style to get and why as well? And if you own the super mini do you still love it and recommend me to get it. Thanks so much for all your help. Oh and I have an iPhone 11, will that fit?

I have the classic dionysus one with the canvas and beige suede and I love it. I‘m not a fan on the marmont, never have been.

That emerald colour is absolutely stunning! I‘d definitely get that one if it fits your wardrobe

I’m not a marmont fan. I have a small leather Dionysus in pink. It’s not a bag I use often but it’s stunning. I really feel the Dionysus is a work of art. Whenever I wear it I get compliments. The green is just gorgeous. I would not buy super mini but that’s me. It’s much too small. I debated myself between mini and small and ended up with small. Although I actually liked the look of mini better...it just didnt hold enough. Super mini is even smaller. Good luck deciding.

That green color is gorgeous but I prefer the Marmont! I have a red Marmont super mini. I chose it over the Dionysus super mini because the Dionysus can't fit my phone. You'd be surprised how much the Marmont super mini can fit! Also, I think that the Marmont is perfect in the super mini size. It's probably weird but I only like the Marmont in the super mini size. On the other hand, I think the Dionysus is perfect in a bigger size. My red super mini Marmont is a perfect pop of color. It goes well with a lot of outfits. I have been selling a few bags recently to downsize my collection. Easily, my Marmont super mini is among my forever bags. It will never leave my collection, that's how much I love it! I love my super mini black and really enjoy the bag. So far no issues on the bag and no scratches, which I worry the most when I first bought it. I thought it’s not easy to maintain due to smooth leather, but I was wrong..
I haven’t bought the 2nd one because of Game On. Hahaha too focus on this collection then Gucci price went up. I will buy later when I got the chance to travel. I am eyeing on the red one.
I am not a fan of Dionysus. I hate snake and this bag has something on it. I will never get a bag/shoes/clothes with snake on it. Even just “look like” snake. Good luck on deciding dear. I know it’s not easy.

But it is such a cute pop of colour and makes you smile so definitely worth it all. I’m so glad you were able to get a few pieces in the collection! I’m glad you enjoying the black marmont. That’s one of my choices as well, along with red. Both very nice and classic colours. You know what else I’m eyeing,... the diorxrimowa personal clutch or the rimowa clutch that just launched a few days ago. The one with Dior is double the price and launched beginning of the year. So many goodies to eye at Xmas. all so tempting. Thanks for your advice and have a lovely weekend.

Thanks for the advice and link. It will be very useful indeed! The red marmont is so sweet and cute too. If I was to get the marmont I would be deciding between the red and black. The Dionysus I like because of the green colour, but not really too fond of the lion head (if that is what it is) lol

That green Dionysus is just a true stunner so the winner in my eyes. While I don’t do super mini bags, if you love them and it works for you, I would definitely get the Dionysus. I believe @snibor and I have the same pink Dionysus. I agree with her that it’s a piece of art. Green surprisingly goes with a lot more than people think. It’s a great pop of color.

Marmont if you want practicality over beauty, green Dionysus if appearances takes priority over function for this tiny bag.
Dionysus is rigid and the crystals make it less carefree than the Marmont.

I'm biased towards the Dionysus I will be receiving a black mini soon and can't wait!

But honestly, you can't go wrong. I just think the Dionysus has a bit more lasting power because of the lack of an overt logo.

We don’t have Dior or Rimowa here. I have very limited choices.

Without a doubt the Dionysus super mini. So I have seen the green and the red (pictured below) in person and it’s simply gorgeous. My friend has both.

I had recently purchased the python Dionysus super mini (pictured) but returned it only because I’m quite particular when it comes to exotics. However, it is still stunning.

The combination of the color and emerald green on the Swarovski crystals is just lovely.

It definitely will not fit your phone.

Thank you so much for super sweet compliment ! That capucines is my most used LV right now. It’s been so much fun using it.

I would say my Dionysus is more of a bright pink. I do enjoy using it. My only complaint on this bag is I wish the strap was longer so it could be cross body (not a problem for you if you get the mini). But other than that, it’s really a classic looking bag in a fun color.
