Any advice from my friends on this board? I got three SW boots to try and decide and return the others.

Black suede Reserve
Black leather Reserve
Gray suede 5050

Also is suede vs leather for longevity a factor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! IMG_5850.JPG IMG_5851.JPG IMG_5852.JPG IMG_5853.JPG

I have the leather 50/50 black boots and love them...easy to maintain. I just bought the Tieland suede boot, in red, and returned them. I was worried about the suede. IMHO not as practical as the leather.

I am on my second pair of black 5050s and I love them! Personally I think suede is more versatile than leather - it can easily be dressed up or down whereas leather is a bit more formal (I think the creases are also more visible on leather).

My first pair lasted me more than 5 years and while I look after my shoes (weatherproofing/ resoling) I don’t baby them. I live in London and the winters here tend to me wet rather than cold so my boots go through a fair share of rain and puddles but the suede has dealt with it (just remember to brush it after dried).

For reference this is a comparison between a 7yo pair and a new pair
