which should i get? new(other brand) vs pre-loved lv

hi all,

Been in the mood to buy a new bag. I've always loved the satchel top handle style bags. And the lv monceau fits that bill! but unfortunately they have been discounted. I've looked at some of them on the pre-loved market and most go for 500+ that are in good condition with the original strap.

Then there is the leather satchel company that makes satchel. And they offer a service where you can customer make a bag. The option I will mostly likely take. This will probably cost a bit over 300. Bought with them before and I liked the quality, but the bags are a bit heavy. Hence why I will get the mini option this time.

So my dilemma is, get a pre-love monceau that is more expensive and adding yet another black bag to my collection. Or buy a bespoke bag that is cheaper and adding a pop of color(looking at the baby blue) to my collection?

tltr. lv monceau or Cambridge/leather satchel mini bag?

Hey, I may be late but I would recommend the Monceau. It comes in different color epi leathers like red and brown. You could dress up the top handle with a colorful scarf. That’s what I plan to do with mine. Hope this helps!

Another vote for the LV bag. I am new to the game and purchased two bags from Fashionphile. I am quite pleased with the condition of the bags, which were classified as Very Good and Good.
