Both pics are the same I think...both the Ripka small Canary Olivia ring. I know it might be out of your range, but you might consider looking at the Nudo rings from Pomellato. The center stones are custom cut and are of very good quality (and natural most importantly). You could also you visit David Yurman and see some options that are in your price range and are made with natural gemstones as well.

I guess my main critique of the Ripka is that the center stone is crystal. There are many gemstone rings out there within your budget that are made with natural material. Also consider looking at SohoGem they have a nice selection of large center stone rings made in yellow, rose and white gold. Some of the amethyst and citrine styles are in your budget.

i really love the ripka, but the fact that the ring is crystal yet costs that amount kind of bothers me. here are a few that i really like as well.

I would choose David Yurman any day:)

OMG! that DY citrine and sapphire ring is TDF!!! haha I agree with you guys now about how the other ring is only crystal. It'd crack easier which would be a total shame.

I second the vote for Pomellato -- there are several threads about the nudo rings. I have two -- they are beautiful.

i really like the ashley morgan. the dy ring is nice but i'm getting a little tired with the look because i see it everywhere, no offence to dy fans.

the judith ripka rings the OP linked to are pretty but they seem a bit too expensive for crystal. for the same price you can get a ring with a better stone.
