Which red? (Seeking Chanel red experts!)

Hi ladies! I have a Chanel mini that’s 17 series (unsure which season), I would say it’s a pretty true red (debatable).

However I’ve come to realization that mini flaps don’t really look good on me so I’m thinking of letting it go and replacing with a medium size.

I’m debating between the 17B red caviar, or a 19 series caviar (not sure what season).

Questions:
- What season do you think my 17 series mini is from? I’ve attached some photos.
- What season is the 19 series red? 19B?
- If 19 series red is 19B, what is the general consensus on that red? As I’m looking for more of a blue red rather than a warm red.

Any input is appreciated!!

Definitely get the 17b red caviar. This was the one I was hesitant on and I walked away from it as I wasn't into color at the time. I do regret not getting it as Chanel has not made a true blue red in awhile. Actually, 17B & 18S came out with stunning colors and the caviar appeared to be thick.

19B is 28XXX series. It has champagne gold hw. I would say it's right in between - a warmer red, but not a blue red.

17B red caviar is a blue-er red, but if I recall correctly, it has silver hw.

Your 17XXX series red is from some time between 2012-2013. The 19XXX series red would be from 2014.

Apologies to jump in your topic but as we are reviewing the chanel reds, I would appreciate your honest feedback on this red reissue from the current season pls. I bought it remotely and I am having a back / forth relation with it as I envisioned a deeper red but this is red but sort of pinkish / coral too it seems to be a bit of a camouflage.
is it a keeper or nay?

I'm also on the hunt for the unicorn 17b red. I just bought a red caviar SHW rectangular mini from Fashionphile listed as 2017, but I can't tell if it's from the 17b season. Serial number 24496xxx. Does anyone know whether Chanel released other red caviar SHW rectangular minis during 2017?

That is 17b. I’m obsessed and have this colour in many bags/SLGs. For me arguably the best.

I prefer deeper blue tone reds. I also own 9C and 12a. Good reds are hard to come by these days!

I agree, it is one of the best reds Chanel has produced. One of my major regrets was not getting either the mini flap or small CF in this color. It is a stunning and beautiful red.

It certainly is. I went a bit mad and got both the square and rectangle mini along with the jumbo! I’m not into small or medium.
I also got the Woc and several SLGs and have no regrets although I had to hunt all of these down over a few years!

No, you didn't go mad getting everything from the 17b collections as it is one of the stunning reds Chanel has produced. I would have done the same and got matching everything! Lol. Only true Chanel lovers/collectors understand our love for the perfect red. Not to go off topic, the 17b collection also produced the famous rose gold with chevron pattern in silver hardware which is still highly coveted too.
