Which one will you pick for traveling? I am only 4'11", but I need the space when traveling.

For me, the answer would be neither. I find messenger bags the best option. Never liked backpacks because they're too difficult to get in and out of quickly, too easily gotten into by pick pockets. A messenger can't be yanked off your shoulder (unless the strap is slashed) because it's worn crossbody and it's always so easy to access.
