Hi! You have all helped me so much in my past indecisiveness so hoping you don’t mind one more poll lol!

I have a mini Lou camera bag black with gold hardware and a clutch/wristlet black with silver hardware with crossbody conversion kit and lots of nice silver chain options.

I can’t keep both. They are so close in price bc I purchased the mini Lou preloved. I love that it is an actual bag and has leather interior. It fits the same as clutch with addition of my sunglasses. I hate not having a spot for my sunglasses but the gold hardware is so bold and yellow. It just feels really dressy and I wear my silver Tiffany jewelry constantly without switching out. I don’t live a dressy lifestyle and don’t reach for this as a casual bag. The clutch works well while carrying my NF tote for work or diaper bag but allows me to have my essentials close to my body. The silver fits my jewelry and wardrobe better. I could dress it up for formal events. Right? Is silver hardware ok for formal events? They are so infrequent anyway ha!

I can return the clutch bc I literally just purchased it but the mini Lou I will take a bit of a hit maybe $200 if selling it.

All thoughts and opinions welcome!

Keep the mini lou and try to use it more. Maybe you won't mind mixing metals after a bit. You can always buy the wristlet later. Also don't you have another clutch? If so use the other clutch for now.

Yes very true. I have a dark beige triquilt clutch. I called the store right after posting this and it’s going to take 2 weeks before the clutch comes in. I want to just cancel and get a refund. I can tell that they aren’t happy with me - not rude but their demeanor changed. It’s not meant to be haha! Would you wear the dark beige with all black? Also what do u think of mixing metals?

Dark beige with all black is fine but be cautious of color transfer.

I don't mind mixing metals. When I was younger I preferred silver hardware but now I like gold hardware. Mostly I wear gold jewelry but my engagement ring is silver toned.

So I’m embarrassed to say this but after posting this I purchased another mini Lou in dark beige and I’m going to keep this one and the black one I already had. I’m selling my clutch. It’s brand new and never used smh but I’m outside of the 30 day window.

I’ve had 3 clutches haha so here’s my two cents: I love the idea of the clutch and it really is a smart buy instead of the WOC but it isn’t that casual and really feels better for dinner dates, going out to a club or a special event. I have babies and toddlers so for the next few years, I just don’t see myself needing a bag that is mainly worn for dressy occasions and I can always purchase one in the future.

If you go out a lot and want to save money on a WOC then yes definitely do it! Dress up your purse and organize my bag have gorgeous chains and it’s fun to switch them out. If you are looking for a mini bag that can go day to night and carry essentials, I suggest the mini Lou camera bag because it holds more and really can be dressed up or down. If you shop preloved, you won’t pay all that much more than the clutch. They tend to be priced well on Poshmark and the bag holds up so well so it’s easy to find one in great condition. I paid 1k for my black one.

Yup I gotta get over mixing metals haha! So I’m selling my clutch (purchased in January and not yet used) and I got the mini Lou in dark beige smh. I can’t believe I almost wanted to sell my black mini Lou. It really is a great little bag. Thank you for responding!!

No I have the mini Lou in gold hardware on my black one. The black hardware scares me. I did get a preloved toy loulou with black hardware since I only have to worry about the logo and not the chain as well. I think you should def. Insider and try on the mini Lou. It’s really cute and functional. You can also put it in a tote if you use one for work or with your little one.

I have two mini Lous (for now lol). I didn't think the bag would hold much but it holds my essentials. It's a tight fit but it works.

It holds a surprising amount. I like the look of mixed metals and I think the mini Lou can be worn dressy or casually. For those reasons, I voted for the mini lou. I'm glad you decided to keep it and got another. LOL I love dark beige. That might be my next one.

Thank you for voting!! I think I liked the triquilt clutch bc it was an affordable version of the envelope bag which will not be in my budget for a long time haha! I am trying to really learn that I can love a bag but it may not be practical for my lifestyle. The mini Lou camera bag is really so versatile and price point is great. I am going to enjoy both for now and then if down the line I need a dressier bag or want to upgrade to envelope I can always sell my black mini Lou. Omg the dark beige is awesome and my favorite. I can see wearing that all summer and year round of course. I highly recommend it! What color ways do you have? I love hearing of others who have a bag in more than one color :)

I understand! I've had to sell things that I've never used so I feel like I ask myself 1000 questions before buying something. Even if its $10!

I love YSL's dark beige. I have to match pantone/color formulas for my job sometimes so it's probably the color nerd in me but I think it has the perfect mix for a neutral beige. I will probably get something in dark beige at some point.

My mini Lous are in natural dark and blue vert.

I agree. It’s really hard to find that perfect beige.

I’m not exactly of Chanel’s classic beige or caramels in their bags.

Imo I think Celine and Chloe really make the best tans/ caramel colors (especially Chloe given the boho vibe) and I love YSL’s beige colors and sort of Gucci’s marmont rosy beige colors.
