So I'm lusting over a few bags and would like some outside feedback as to which one I should get. I'm posting pictures of the bags I'm looking at but not necessarily the colors I'm looking at. So please don't factor color of the pics posted.

The first two are the balenciaga metal edge bags, the styles are the town and city. Out of the bags I currently own I have the most from this brand. I have several cities and I had a town but sold it. I felt that the town was too small but lately I don't seem to carry a lot and when I do use the city it's usually half empty. I also find the cross body shoulder strap on the town as a big plus too. The biggest con is I can't see the color I want irl. If I don't like it and buy from the boutique I have only two options return for a store credit which I don't want or sell most likely taking a bit of a loss.

The next bag I'm looking at is the PS1. I currently own two one in the style I'm looking at and the other is a tote. The one I like is the fringe one. However I am concerned that one the fringe will get really super annoying to deal with every time I go in/out of the bag and two it will end up looking dated. Another con for me is the edges of the bag are sealed/glued and over time and use they do have cracks. While it's not the end of the world it's disappointing to me, I know every bag that is sealed with glue will eventually crack. I have been using my ps1 lately and I've forgotten how much I love this style.

The next bag is the Chloe marcie. I currently don't own any Chloe bags. I love the leather and I enjoy having both handles and shoulder strap. The only con for me is the edges are sealed/glued like on the PS1. So I'm worried that I'll be disappointed when that happens. I am also thinking this one might be the heaviest of the bunch I'm looking at.

The last bag of the bunch is at a much lower price point. A MBMJ leather bag. I love the leather and the style. The cons are the flap is closed by a strong magnet which may get annoying after a while. And that the color of the hardware is not the shade I'd prefer for the color I'm looking at.

I've been cutting back big time on my handbag purchases and am a lot more critical of my purchases than I have been in the past. I am also leaning towards smaller bags than in the past, I don't carry as much as I used to. I also like to be diverse in my collection as well. So please help me figure out what bag I should get next.

All nice bags, but if you want a rest from the Bals I would go for the Marcie, I love Chloe bags and their kind of '70s vibe. I would try it out though, Chloe bags are some of my heaviest

Unless you have a very casual rock style I would be wary of spending so much on a fringe bag

I do like the MbMJ too

I have never found myself drawn towards a Bal, but those 2 with metal edges look really nice and appeals to me!

As for the fringed PS, I do think it is trendy at the moment but will look dated eventually. While the fringe looks nice and drape-y in photos, I feel it will be annoying during usage.

I like the Marcie very much, I almost bought one myself.

This MbMJ doesn't appeal to me at all, there's something about its proportions...or something...not sure why but it looks too plain from the front. Like some extra detail is missing.

You might want to sleep on it, or get a chance to see them IRL to help you decide?

I think it's nice to switch up bag brands, maybe like 1-2 of each! I personally don't have a Bal and would love to get the first pic one. But... since you have Bal already then my next pick is Chloe, another nice casual bag.

Of these, I prefer the Town. I'm a big fan of Proenza Schouler, but think the fringe may look dated in a few years. Have you considered the Mulberry Alexa? I love mine.

Thanks for the feedback you guys.

You helped talk me out of the PS1 fringe bag I think using my current PS1 and realizing how much I enjoy it sparked a interest in another one but I will probably tire of the fringe part and it may end up looking funky as it ages or even worse some tassels may tear off.

Today I went to NM and checked out both the Chloe marcie and rechecked out the Bbags. As much as I like the Bbags the color I want isn't one I can see IRL before purchase and that's enough for me to have to nix it. Also color wise it's very similar to another Bbag I already have in another style. I was half thinking if I liked this one I could sell the other one however if I don't like the color I'd be stuck selling it or with store credit so that kind of dampens my desires there. I checked out the town vs city for size as much as I like to believe I could use the town for my day to day I worry that it might be a tad too small since I did sell the one town I had before. Maybe if I could see the color I'm itching for IRL I'd go for it. I checked out the Chloe marcie and while it is heavier than the Bbags I really like the leather/color combination. I also enjoy being able to carry it by the handles which is great for running errands and your going in/out of the car frequently. And having the shoulder strap which allows me to wear it crossbody if needed. This would be a new style/brand for me to try out.

I didn't check out the MBMJ bag however while checking it out online at nordies the color I want is on sale! So I snapped one up knowing I can always return it if I change my mind easy peasy. I also used some nordie notes so with the sale and the notes it ended up running about $77!

However I also decided to also purchase the Chloe Marcie from Farfetch as well. Out of all of the bags this is the one I liked the most color and style wise. I should get both bags next week I'm thinking I will probably return the MBMJ bag.

I have in the past considered the Mulberry Alexia the style is very similar the the PS1 however I'm in the US and no store near me carries them. I know I can buy one online but I'm hesitant to buy one when I can't check it out IRL. But maybe I should watch the brand a bit more and wait for a color I like to pop up. The website currently doesn't offer a lot of color/size options as they did in the past. Are they fazing this style out?
