the monogram montsouris says it has “natural aged leather“, but does anyone know how different that is from vachette? And how it holds up compared to vachette? I’m thinking the natural aged leather is not as susceptible to dirt compared to the vachette, but never had a bag with it before...

I prefer the mono montsouris more than the All leather empreint.

It depends if you want a carefree bag or a bag that you need to be more careful when carrying. Personally, I don't like vachetta because it's hard for me to maintain and gives bags an age. Empreinte will look brand new for a very long time.

I was in ur exact dilemma. I returned the empriente and kept the vachetta. I love it!!! I did put apoleguard on it and it didn’t seem to absorb like regular vachetta. It definitely is different. I’ve owned a ton of LV over the past 30 years. I’ve always treated my vachetta with great results. I’m not afraid of vachetta. I do think this will be less maintenance.

Thanks! This helps a lot. The vachetta worries because there’s maintenance to it but the vachetta looks treated already. I’m going to reach out to my SA and see what he says about it.
