So I am venturing away from LV for a leather bag. My favorite lately has been my speedy b's - satchel/crossbody style and am considering the AW rockie in black/pale gold and the longchamp Le pliage cuir personalized in black with brown handles. I'd like some opinions and votes! I would like to make a purchase in the next week or two so any help is greatly appreciated! I would say of these 2 choices, which do you like better, structured or unstructured? Obviously that's the difference with these two bags

I honestly don't have a preference over structured or not, that's probably why I'm having such a hard time deciding :( I've looked at the LC cuir in all black in the store and I've also looked at the rockie many times. Both would fit my style too.

If you want structure in the Le Pliage, get an organizer. I have a Samorga that gives any bag lots of structure. There's a thread on this exact topic on the Longchamp sub. :smile1:

I have both a LP Cuir (Medium) and AW Rocco, the bags are quite similar in size but the difference in weight is huge. The studs and thick leather make the AW very heavy. I do like the zipper solution on the Rockie, makes it easy to find stuff in it.

The Longchamp is great, but very soft and unstructured. Great for carrying a lot of stuff.
Did you check the Tumi brand? It's made of sturdy fabric and comes structure and unstructured bags.

I have checked out tumi before and they are nice bags, but these are the two that I have been interested in for a while now. I just can't pick between the two lol

I own both of these bags. I personally think the Rockie is more stylish then the Le Pliage. I find the Le Pliage to be a very casual bag, definitely more casual then the Rockie. That said the Le Pliage is also much much lighter then the Rockie. The Rockie can get quite heavy with the leather and all the studding. So if you don't like a heavier bag, the Rockie might not be for you. My Rockie also gets complimented alot, but have never gotten a compliment on the Le Pliage. The Le Pliage is a nice bag but much more understated then the Rockie so it won't get the attention that the Rockie does. Don't know if this matters to you, but I do like when people are like, 'What a cool bag!' I get that with the Rockie not with the Le Pliage.

I do think the rockie is definitely more stylish. I have felt it and didn't notice it being heavy, but I never put anything in one. That's a good point though.

I like the rockie but I ended up getting a coach ace satchel instead. I haven't used either of the bags you chose so I cannot comment on that.

Starting to think I need to check both out in person again [emoji53] I am planning on getting a coach rogue too, but didn't ever check out the ace though.

I don't see rockie or leather longchamps around where I live and am looking for an under the radar bag that doesn't call attention as much as my LVs. And something in black leather [emoji5]️

Thank you all for your opinions. It's so nice to have other perspectives on bags. I hate to jump and buy a bag and then regret it.
