Hi ladies,

I'm still debating between a few necklaces... it's really hard to decide.

Which one of these do you like best? Have you seen any of these IRL, tried it on or even own it?

Large Flower:

Small Flower:

Butterfly:

FYI, I'm petite and like delicate but still noticeable pieces.

I really like all 3 but would probably choose either the large flower or small flower necklace. Please do post pics when you have decided which one you're going for!

If you like these necklaces, you might also like the Hearts on Fire Beloved pendant or the Fulfillment pendant? BreadnGem posted her fulfillment pendant on the 'christmas jewellery thread' - its gorgeous!! So much in fact, I have recently bought a smaller version of it.

I like all necklaces, that's the problem ;) I also like the one you posted - it's very beautiful.

My only concern with platinum is that it may look greyish and dull over time.. not as bright, soft and rich as gold.

Is that true?

Can anyone comment on the platinum? Does it look very greyish/dull or will it look like that over time?

Platinum on a necklace/pendant receives significantly less wear than a ring. A pendant will not get nearly the patina a ring might develop because it will not be exposed to wear the way a ring would. I honestly would not worry about the platinum in a necklace/pendant at all. If the idea really bothers you, etk recently had a Love bracelet rhodium plated (for a metal allergy), and if Tiffany's platinum is not already plated, that might be an option. But platinum, while it can develop a patina from wear and scratches, doesn't actually discolour the way white gold can.So it doesn't change colour, but instead simply appears less bright as it gets scratches and surface marks - and that is far less likely to happen on a pendant than on other pieces that get harder wear.

Oh, and I prefer the large or small flower (depending on which you like better on you).

Can't go wrong with any of them, but I'm a huge fan of rose gold, so I love the 3rd one(even though I'm not a butterfly girl)

My personal preference is the Butterfly Necklace (#3) -- but then again, I LOVE rose gold and I like butterflies.

My second choice would be the Small Flower.

I love the small flower, best. I have Tiffany platinum that's 8 years old - in both necklace and bracelet and it's just as gorgeous as ever.

I prefer the flowers over the butterfly. As to size, it depends on which one looks nicer on you and whether you will regret not getting the bigger one in future.

Regarding platinum vs gold, if you are talking about white gold, once the rodium plating wears off it will start to look yellowish. Some people have also experienced rose gold fading. I think in comparison platinum is fine. Like what the others said, the patina will show up less in a necklace. Besides, u can always take it back to Tiffany for cleaning/servicing. I wont worry about it.

Let us know which one u choose!

I saw the Beloved necklace when i was buying my Fulfillment necklace. It is shaped a little like a flower. If i am not wrong it comes in diff carat sizes too.

If u like flower necklaces this is something to consider. The only thing is has all round brilliant diamonds, unlike the Tiffany one which has rose cut diamonds too. So depends on which look u prefer.
