I think the black on brown for the LV bag clashes. Plus the monogram is very showy.

Overtly branded business products might be misread by a potential client, which might lead them to judging you negatively. Yes the client shouldn't be doing so, but in the real world, it is better to be risk averse in some situations in order to avoid needless conflict.
Both are great, especially for an urban setting, are timeless and can work so well with either brown or black.
I like the Burberry a bit more just because it's a little different to the rest of your fabulous wardrobe.

Probably not "exact" but similar. They can have similar colors but the purple and the shades of the brown/black transition well together, whereas with the LV it looks like it clashes with the tan too.Can you explane "doesn't send the right message"?

I don't like Burberry brand for ladies bag for for this 2 briefcase, I definitely think Burberry look much nicer!
