Any feedback on either bags would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve been on the hunt for a black crossbody bag for over a year now. I really want a black bag that isn’t an “obvious” luxury bag. If Speedy 20 were made in a black non-empreinte leather, I would be buying that in a heartbeat. I’m also kicking myself for not getting the Papillon Trunk last year, so I’m thinking the black epi would be a good compromise. I only own one other black crossbody (Forever 21 lol), and it has seen much better days. I want to keep it for casual bars and nightclubs, but it definitely looks beat up for nicer places now.
I wasn’t expecting to like the Alma BB in bubblegram/blue glacier as much as I do. I saw it in person and can’t stop thinking about it now. My hesitation is that it’s not a neutral or jewel-toned color. I rarely use my bags that don’t fall in those categories, and I’m concerned I’ll just come to regret the purchase. Also not really into the strap for long-term ownership/use. I wish they sold chain straps separately, because I could see it being really cute with one a few years from now.
Would you pick the “practical” one that you know you’ll use, or the one that makes you happy, even if you don’t know what you’ll do with it?
