Ah, the Noe.

I've flirted with the Noe for a long time but have never given it a try. There are so many options and I do not want to have 5 Noe bags (just as I'd rather not have 5 Speedy's, but I think I do).

Which Noe? Which one?

I think I've decided to start with a GM. It's a big boy, but I love the history and kind of dig the massiveness of it. I don't love the Neverful strap and think this would be a fun alternatives.

That brings me to the question of canvas or epi.

I like the fun epi colors (red epi makes my heart swoon) but I'm afraid it would be quite heavy.

How would I use it? Of course I would use it every time I need to buy 5 bottles of champagne. Though, I have never in my life purchased 5 bottle of champagne at a time--but there's always time to start.

It's too much mono for my comfort level (if it works, I'd like to use it for my laptop when I go into the office--which is rare) but I adore DE and DA.

I guess I'm looking for any thoughts, but especially thoughts on weight. If anyone has both and can compare, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

Thank you! I've been watching YouTubes and a few of them mention how heavy the epi is. I thought there might be a chorus of tPF friends who would advise against it due to weight.

My first speedy was a 30 in epi. I've long sold it (mistake), but I do not remember it as being particularly heavy. My canvas Speedy is super lightweight, certainly lighter, but I don't have the muscle memory to compare the two.

the epi Noe body is made of leather, that's the only weight more than the canvas version of Noe. I had sold my epi Noe GM otherwise I could weight it for you, but I remember it was not heavy. I have had heavy and super heavy LV bags, I would not forgot them, haha

Their should have been a trunk to hold Champagne of 5! I always feel uneasy to hear this could have 5 of them the way it was described to place. I would have done less though.

I love the Noe GM in Monogram personally. I would love one as Noe Marin. But canvas that doesn’t exist.
But Epi is fabulous too!

I currently have the monogram Noe GM and I love it. I just had the vachetta replaced and it looks stunning. I use it everyday while I'm at work and in addition to my personal items, I put my iPad in there and bring it to work so I can draw on my break. It really comes in handy.

I used to have the epi small and large Noes several years ago but ended up selling them. For no particular reason as I think I just needed the money. I don't remember the epi being heavier, per se, just sturdier because the leather is thicker than the canvas. But I don't regret it now that I have the monogram Noe which I love.

Buy it. Believe me, you won't regret it. And you'll love the shoulder strap.
