I so agree!!!
I had the cherry blossom papillon in my hands, then decided I didn't need another bag (those were the earlier days) so let it go. Got home, realised what a fool I'd been called the store and they had all gone and never got anymore in.
I have NEVER made that mistake again. If it's in my hands and I'm loving it, then it's mine.
Okay now I officially feel bad. I thought it would be interested to reminise about "the one that got away", but I'm like you... it's just making me sadder to see I'm not the only one!
this is sooooo cliche`, but I wish I had a Mono speedy 35.
Only reason i say that is because its an Iconic piece that I dont have.
Most of the bags i have are bags that i Dont see anyone else with so i really want that one.=(
You should go out and get yourself one! The Mono Speedy 35 isn't going anywhere!
No, don't feel bad - this thread is a great history lesson for me! Thanks!! I'm new to LV *buying*, but have been attracted since about 2006. Back then I simply wasn't in a position in life to have bought (that's why I feel lucky now and blessed now). I remember seeing the Groom pieces thinking "I wish...". (For the record I'm 34. Not that age has anything to do with it, just setting the scene).
Do you think there is a difference between missing out because:
1. You couldn't afford it at the time / or you weren't into LV then so you didn't even know it existed
or
2. Holding it, thinking about it, walking away, then changing your mind only to find out it was too late?
Personally, I think probably not!
