which is more work appropriate?

I have been on the impossible quest to find my perfect work bag -

I tried:

H Bolide (not my style)
LV SC mono (duffle type bags do not work for me for work - looks too messy)
Gucci Soft Jackie briefcase (too severe and those bags are really too too heavy)

I have right now a Tods Joy tote which works great for most days (I am a prof so casual is ok for teaching undergrad etc)

but really I need a bag that looks classy, chic, official and can house all my ridiculous amounts of stuff, plus needs a shoulder strap

so I have narrowed it down to these too very different bags

Thanks, yes that is what I have been thinking. I just like the toughness of LV canvas - but of course it is not very subtle.

I like the look of the SL, the LV might be appropriate if your job involved something that requires a bag to be super durable and stylishness wasn't something that has to come with functionality.

I also prefer the St. Laurent but their bags can be HEAVY ...

I know you checked out the LV SC duffle, did you try the LV Soft Lockit? Very pretty bag that fits a lot and has a shoulder strap.
