Which holds more: a 32 kelly retourne or a 31 bolide rigide?

I don't own a Bolide but I can attest to the Kelly's versatility as a bag for travel. I use my retourne Kelly 28 for travel and it's always the only bag I bring (plus the pliage). Kelly 28 is my everyday bag so I don't have any problem with fitting things in. The strap is very handy.

I think the Bolide and Kelly would be comparable in function, but the Kelly has a bit mor panache and elegance, if you are taking one H bag. The pliage is essential for travel--If it rains, you can tuck your Kelly inside, you can take it along for purchases, on the plane it protects your Kelly, it weighs almost nothing and on power tourist days you can carry it instead of your Kelly.

I have to say that they both have +'s and -'s...........the bolide is easier to get in and out of on the fly. that top entry is so great. both are stuff-eable if the leather is flexible. I have 28cm supple kelly and it "feels" the same as my 31 cm bolide (chevre) in terms of space
