Hi everyone,

I've been looking for feminine but classic black penny loafers like the model is wearing in this photo (I just bought this coat!): https://www.londontradition.com/product/martina-duffle-coat/

I actually emailed London Tradition to ask them, hopefully they can help me out.

I'm looking for a high-end loafer, preferably made in Italy or somewhere that is known for their shoe craftsmanship, but NOT with a logo on them. I thought maybe Ferragamo, but they also have their Gancini logo on their loafers.

Here's another photo of what I'm looking for (love Grace Kelly):

Who is known for making a classic penny loafer? Any tips would be appreciated

Tod's also makes a classic penny loafer sans logos.

I have these Belgian loafers which are very elegant. They are made in the US by a company whose shoes have a very good reputation for quality. They used to be called Old Maine Trotters. No logo. They have tassels instead of pennies. Just a suggestion.

From my own past and present closet:
santoni
belgian loafer
weston
Warren edwards
fratelli Rossetti
todds
Possibly Bally
ferragamo and gucci (both used to make without logo
i want to say, Manolo used to make one too, but I’m not sure anymore

if you run a search on the Bergdorfs or Neiman site, there should be loafer options.

brunello I think had a loafer style, but everything nowadays has rhinestone monili detailing

For classic penny loafers like Grace Kelly is wearing, have a look at Sebago. They're the nicest I've found when looking for simple, well made loafers. They've been making them since 1946, a true New England classic! I have several pairs. Good luck with your search, and would love to hear what you find. :flowers:

Thank you so much everyone! What a great list of suggestions, I've looked at all of them (great list btw 880!). I think I like the Tod's the best and those Sebagos are actually really nice. The latter is a really great price wow, I wonder where they're made.

They're all beautiful!
