I recently purchased the Cheval Siren double faced scarf but now I don't think I can live without a Story either....the print is so whimsical and fun but I can't decide which colourway. Most if the colorways wouldn't work for me so I decided on the one with the beige background bc I preferred some of the lighter/pastel tones, but now I realize I also like the orange with green too (less in the stock photo but moreso when i see photo of it on model). Posting a side by side comparison and will also post photos of other scarves I recently purchased. Thank you for your feedback.

Unless we know more about you it's impossible to make a guess as to which one will suit better.

The original colouration is the beige background but it's not going to suit everybody. It would be my choice if I wanted to frame the scarf though. It was very blah on me (peach undertone) though.

If you need a certain brightness, have a warm undertone, any amount of high-colouring (the opposite of sallow) or need extra oomph in your wardrobe then the orange will serve better.

Seeing them side by side i am still leaning towards the beige bc i think it will coordinate with more variety of garments. Here are photos of other recent purchases (H Cheval siren double faced 90, Ferragamo foresta pink 90, and a few things from Le Chale Bleu Voyage into the Boreal Forest collection: 45cm bandana scarf in beige and rwo 66x196 cotton silk stoles which are very lightweigt and almost have a sheer quality to them, also thinking of ordering the darker Stars and the Sea 90).

Thank you. Realistically, it is unlikely either would get much use as I don't really wear scarves but I am trying to get more accustomed to incorporating this type of accessory. I recall hearing my mother complain that she couldn't wear certain colors bc they made her look sallow or washed out. I guess I am fortunate as it seems i can wear just about any color and my wardrobe consists of all colors. That being said, I still feel the beige is "prettier" overall and would match more plus the other H scarf i have has orange as a main color. Just curious which people tend to like better aesthetically overall.

IMO only, scarves will not be worn if they do not flatter the complexion. If you have pale skin, I would pick a more saturated color like the orange. If you are darker (i am a dark skinned Asian), I would go with the lighter colorway for more contrast.
The green peacock is great if the scarf is framed, but very little of it will be seen if the scarf is folded on the bias and tied as per normal. Before I buy any scarf, I run an imaginary X through the center that connects each opposite diagonal. That gives me a cross section of what will be visible on my neck. Of course, if you simply wear the scarf folded once over as a triangle, more will be seen
