which Hermes leather has the strongest aroma?

Hi,

My mom just give me her Birkin30 black togo leather to me, And I feel the leather aroma is quite different. As I know H leather has a different aroma. If anyone know which leather has the strongest aroma? Thanks

Clemence, yes. At least for me. But i'm not sure if clemence has a 'stronger' aroma vs togo. I'm sure the other tpfers here will be able to answer that.

IMO, definitely barenia leather followed by older clemence (2005), newer clemence (2009) & then togo.

I second this. To me, Barenia always seems to have the strongest scent of all the leathers. It's long lasting too.

Togo has a nice scent too, but I agree with everyone that "Barenia" has the strongest and most heavenly scent. You could get suffocated if you inhale too much of that heavenly Barenia scent

Noticed the pleasant aroma on saddle leathers like barenia, vache natural, hunter... I also have an affinity on the aroma of leathers that come in shade of brown and natural...must be the tanning and vegetable dyes used in the process that give off that wonderful smell of fine leather.
