Which gunmetal bag?

So, I love the color gunmetal (aka pewter and dark silver) and found the perfect gunmetal shoes earlier this summer. After much hunting, I’m now trying to decide between a Dior Diorama pouch and a Mulberry small Darcy for my one and only gunmetal bag. The Mulberry is less than half the price of the Diorama and could be carried during the day, but the Diorama has more of a wow factor (right?), and the Mulberry is really pretty small for me for a daytime bag anyway. Opinions? And if you dislike both and/or have other gunmetal bag suggestions, please let me know! I’m looking for something that I can carry in the evening. Since the Diorama is pretty expensive, I’d particularly like to know if you think the style is over/looks dated etc..

Dior is more of a signature special look;still classic and suitable for some daytime looks into evening, JMO though

I agree with @880. I prefer the Dior. It’s a special bag and can be worn at night. The Mulberry looks ordinary.

I prefer the Diorama. It just has that extra shine and the cannage motif on the leather that makes it stand out. It looks better as an evening bag compared to the Mulberry IMO. I don't think the Dior is outdated at all! It's a very classic design that was discontinued too soon.

I actually prefer the Mulberry because of its simpler, cleaner, more casual lines and I think it works better with the shoes. But both bags are pretty and it sounds like you really want the Dior.

I have the diorama and I absolutely love it. It has such a striking unique look and I always get tons of compliments on it. The only negative is the limited space. I can barely fit my phone and keys in it

i have the iPhone 12 pro max and it barely fits with the case on. added my key fob to show the width. There’s the zip pocket and an open pocket, but with the phone not much can be in those pockets otherwise it won’t stay closed

Beautiful bag! This is so helpful; I really appreciate your expertise. I have the iPhone 12 regular size so I think I will be ok. It just fits in the YSL that I have now but I was thinking of making a change to the diorama because I love the style.

Since you're looking for evening primarily, I think the Diorama works best.
