Which Gucci Marmont: Red leather OR Red velvet?

A follow-up to my question from the other day about Gucci Marmont. I definitely know now that I’m interested in the red Marmont, but still trying to decide whether to get the leather one or the velvet one. I’m planning to use it as a “going out” bag (to go out to a dinner or a small party- I.e. dressy, but not formal). So, which Gucci Marmont looks dressier and fancier - the Red leather OR the Red velvet? Please help me decide if to go with leather or velvet? Thanks!.

I think the red velvet looks like a holiday purse. You can wear leather all year.

I would get the leather, velvet doesn’t wear well and it will show on the bag…
