Hi BagNewbe. I find the larger tote to be better looking in general. There are many other red bags in the marketplace which are better looking than this one (in my humble opinion) - though if you love it, then it simply comes down to which bag serves your purposes better? The red bag is smaller and somewhat dressier; the larger tote will fit more items and is a drop more casual due to its size. Both bags seem to compliment your frame. Hth

Hello,
I also purchased the red GG Marmont Matelasse Shoulder Bag from the outlet. What I found really interesting is that when I filled it with my stuff wallet, eyeglasses , sunglasses makeup case and cell phone it was still a light bag to carry considering the chain strap. Also I like the hidden magnetic closure for safety. No one can see inside the bag. For the price point I feel it's a great red leather size GG Marmont when on the Gucci website bags in this size in Marmont line are running between 1980.00 and 2500.00 plus tax. If you don't have a red bag, this is a great choice.
Also may I say it looks great on you! I say keep the Red!
