in the 1950's the House was strictly couture, look at the stitching, especially where the lining is stitched in to the face fabric, also in the arm holes. You should see wonderful craftsmanship but you will be able to tell they are set by hand. Additionally the button holes should/may be bound, another sign of bespoke outerwear. I would imagine the coat is authentic, as back in the day someone might rip your silhouette but not your label.... Unless someone took the label off the original garment... Pics would be lovely.
