Which diamond would you choose?

  1. 1.21 ct D VS1 $1116

2. 1.40 ct E VVS2 $1310 (the image looks less symmetrical than #1. Will it impact sparkle and brilliance? )

3. 1.51 ct E VVS2 $1698 (does it worth the $600 price jump from #1?)

All 3 diamonds are from Whiteflash, and their pendant chain looks "dull/ not shiny". Does it look better to have a shinier or more understated chain for a diamond pendant?

Thank you so much for your time and thoughts!!

I would choose #3, the 1.51ct diamond. I’m not a diamond expert but I like that there seem to be slightly fewer black spots and the center seems closer to all-green. And diamond shrinkage is real, so you might as well get the bigger one if you can afford it!

Chain shiny vs. matte is a matter of preference. I choose platinum when I can and that tends to be less shiny than rhodium plated white gold, I believe.

platinum is more durable and also very expensive...I lost a platinum back for one of my earrings and replacing it was quite a lot - considering it was a small thing
