which diamond cut do you prefer?

I want to know which do you ladies prefer, the princess or the round cut diamonds (in stud earrings).

Round - they can't be "crooked" or "asymmetrical" when worn, and so you will look more pulled together. I'd save the princess for a pendant necklace or ring.

I voted for Princess cut, that is the cut of my engagement ring. I always dreamed of that particular style because I liked the sharpness of the edges. While it is true that round may look bigger and sparkle more, mine sparkles quite a bit so I am very happy!

do you prefer the solitaires with a gold band around them or the earrings that are just the diamond itself? hope this makes sense!

the thing is, its a gift and I thought I'd see what the majority of you like to help me decide..
