Neither. Epsom is more durable than chèvre, but it is a pressed leather, so if you were to scratch it, Spa would not be able to fix it. However, it is more scratch resistant than chèvre, but chèvre just feels so buttery.
I just bought a bearn in chèvre and my SA bought out both, chèvre and Epsom. Epsom just doesn't make my heart sing and for the price, I rather get natural leather than pressed, that's just my opinion . Somehow my SA agrees too.
Bearn really isn't that hard to come by especially in black. I wouldn't buy it used. Just stalk H.com, they have been putting out really great wallets these past few days: Constance long wallets, Kelly long wallets, and bearns! GL .
