Hey guys,
I've fallen in love the with Selma bag and am really stuck on which colour to get it in. It's between the hot pink and luggage/tan. This is going to primarily be a spring/summer bag.
I'm so glad I came across this bag as I was going to get a Prada tote but I think the Selma is so much better value and similar in style.
Has anyone got the Selma in either of the colours I'm looking at or got any pros/cons that may sway me?

The black and hot pink attracted me. So I first purchased the black then I saw the pink in real life and it was calling out to me.

Hands down hot pink. I don't know what it is but the hot pink is just gorgeous in real life. I think it's because I love a mixture of classic style with rocker chic and the hot pink selma has the total package. Also, I always buy bags in neutral colors and this is my first time actually purchasing a bright colored bag. I always thought bright colored bags looked a bit too teenager boppy-ish but because of the shape of the selma, the hot pink just makes it stand out like BAM!! :D

The black felt WAY too formal for me. I thought it would be perfect for minimalistic/classic but honestly.... it's just way too business like. I would think the tan/luggage colors sort of give off the same feel....?

Basically if you want a work bag, go with the tan especially if you work in a pretty formal business environment. If not, go with PINK! :D

Thanks so much for your advice! I think you're right the black is definitely very formal. Especially considering the shape of the bag is very formal also.

I agree, the hot pink is TO DIE FOR. It's so pretty and in my opinion, it matches just about everything, and looks SO nice with blue denim jeans. I am normally someone who will play it safe when selecting bags, just because i think darker colors are really chic and goes with everything. But this bag i am getting in pink, no questions asked.

The black is very formal and a little boring. However, if you think you will not wear it very often because of the bright pink color, you can consider the navy color. It is a very dark neutral navy that is a step away from black. It is really pretty and can be worn with almost any outfit and any season. Hope this helps :)

I have the Selma in luggage and absolutely love it! I think the luggage is such a rich, beautiful classic color plus I didn't have a good every day brown bag in my collection so I went with the luggage. I think is bag is beautiful in all of the colors to be honest, but it depends on your wardrobe and what you want/need. I needed/wanted a functional work bag in brown so I picked up the luggage. But the hot pink is so fun and perfect for spring!

I agree with the previous posters.

For work, for a more neutral bag, or for something more serious, I would go with the luggage(tan).

For something more fun and flirty, or to add a splash of color to an outfit, I would go with the zinna(pink).

Both colors are great, though. If you were originally going to get a Prada tote, you could just apply the money toward getting BOTH colors and still end up ahead!! :graucho:

The pink is a great shade of pink. If you don't need a black bag, go for it!

I was in the market for a black work friendly bag and zoomed in on the black. But it suits my personal style pretty well too.

And since the Selma has a crossbody, it is super easy to dress down. Very happy with mine.

I love the pink one, I had a nice classic navy bag with gold hardware on my wishlist for a while so I went for that one, but if I had to choose another Selma it would def be pink..

Now theres a thought I could get two bags and still be about £500 better off than if I bought the Prada bag!

I wear quite a lot of plain clothes and not bright colours so the pink would brighten up my wardrobe quite a bit. The bag is not for work, I'm a nurse and use a cheap bag for work. There's been quite a lot of theft from our locker room recently so I would never take one of my nice bags. It's a shame really because I only get to use my bags on days off, but that makes them even more special I think.

then i would suggest the pink even more if you wear plain.

i wear a lot of black/gray/white and the hot pink bag just adds the final touch. :)

i think you should go look at the bags in person. it's really really different in real life. like i said before i always go with black or neutral color bags but out of all the colors i was attracted to the pink and white one the most. black was nice online and a safe color but.... too formal for me

Thank you so so much for posting the photo! Your bag is gorgeous! I love the wallet too. I always have to have a new wallet when I get a bag. I think i'm 90% decided on the pink now.

I've been asking the same question, which colour to get. I'm so torn between Zinnia Pink, Palm Green and Citrus. Can someone tell me how the palm green and citrus compare to Zinnia pink in real life? I usually wear colour, so my bags tend to be more muted and boring. But these colours are just so tempting!!
