Hi all,

I've been eyeing this handmade in Italy (by one artisan!) bag from Mirta and thought at this price point it would be a great everyday bag, rather than one of my luxury brand bags. It's small but I don't carry much. The only thing is my favorite color is the yellow and I'm afraid a light colour might not be a good choice for everyday wear and tear? The other color I like (almost as much) is the blue. I'm also wondering if the blue would match more outfits than the yellow. I had a bag in this blue as my everyday bag a few years ago and it was a surprisingly versatile color.

Which color would you choose for everyday? Take chances with your fave, or be more practical? Yellow or blue?

Most of my clothes are blue, and a fair percentage of my bags so I’d go blue-but the yellow is lovely too!
And my blues tend to be very dark, not royal blue so in this case, it’s a tough one!…

It is a brighter blue, they call it electric blue. But I did have a bag that was very close in color and it worked quite well with all seasons and most outfits. It's too bad because I'm still loving the yellow ha ha...but the blue is lovely as well.

I once had a bright mustard leather every day handbag which I enjoyed immensely. Eventually it did start to look tired but I did get a great deal of wear out of it. In fact I had bought it on a bit if a whim and I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the colour and how versatile the bag was.
I love both colours but if yellow is your favourite why not go for yellow?

Although I am a fan of blue bags, in this case, I would go with the yellow. This particular yellow does not seem to be a light yellow, but a deeper mustard shade, which would work quite well for daily wear (lighter colors can be a bit more challenging to keep pristine if worn daily.) Since you like the yellow more, I would say you should go for it.

I actually think that yellow would be a great year-round color! It looks a bit deeper, mustard-y and would look stunning with fall/winter tones like navy, brown, wine and forest green. I used to have a royal blue bag and actually reached more often for my yellow one!

Yes, I was picturing the yellow with a nice grey coat and thought it would look cute. You're right, it's deeper, almost an orange, not a "Sun yellow". They call it "amber".
