Which of these "modifications" do you like best? I know I should leave well enough alone, but I can't help but want to make my e-ring more original. I didn't do the best job altering the picture to look like blue sapphires..I was rushing, but hopefully you get the gist.
I think I like the yellow or the cognac/champagne ones the best.
First one is the original:

I far prefer the original. It is already a design that a person doesn't see everyday; I don't think it needs to be any more unique. Somehow the colors just take away from the diamonds, IMO.

I would keep it as it is and maybe buy a band that has colored stones and you can wear that sometimes? I can't tell...is your ring all one piece, 3 pieces, or an e-ring and an enhancer?

Thanks for the opinions ladies!

It's not something I'm going to do soon if I do it at all..I want to decide which looks best and then stew on it for a while..a long while. If I still want it in a year, then I might bring it up as a 10th wedding anniversary change. I do prefer the original to the sapphires (pink and blue), but I just love yellow and cognac/champagne diamonds..lol. My diamond sort of disappears into all the other blingy diamonds the way it is now. I thought changing the color might help identify the center stone more.

My ring was 3 rings..the center with the diamond and then the two channel set wedding bands were added to either side. But it is at the jewelers now getting reshanked (for the second time this month) and we decided to do just one wide shank on the bottom...so it is soon going to be just one ring.

I like the cognac color because it appears to be less "harsh" against the existing white and diamonds. It blends it and don't distract from the center. Second choice would be yellow because I love the color yellow and it gives that feel of mixed metals that I like. I feel that the blue is a little too bold and I'm not a fan of pink in jewelry (though my jewelry box will say otherwise).

so in order Cognac > Yellow > Pink > Blue

I love your ring as is, but if you wanted to pursue adding color, I would go with any of them except the blue; the blue seems a bit too much contrast in comparison to the rest. I feel like any of the alternatives would highlight the center stone well.

I love your ring just as it is! The one-color diamond presentation makes the set have a lot of presence on your finger. Of the colors, I like the pink the best. Gorgeous ring! Tough decision! Good luck with it!
