Hi ladies,

I need your opinions. I'm torn between these Cartier watches. which of these should I get for an everyday/ day to night watch? (I'm planning to get a rolex in the future, so if there is one cartier watch I should get, which one?)

1. Cartier Santos two tone Galbee
I like this because I can use gold, white gold or silver jewelry.
I can get this particular watch at a way cheaper price compared to the other models I'm choosing from.
I'm not sure though if the style is really nice and classic as it's not very popular here in tpf?

2. Cartier Roadster SS
I like this style very much. and love that it has interchangeable strap.

3. Cartier Tank Francaise
I didn't really mind this style before until I browsed here and saw that most prefer this style, and I realized it's also really nice.

The santos galbee is readily available for me to purchase at a very reasonable price, whereas I still have to find good deals for the roadster and tank francaise. But I also don't want to settle. Your opinions would help me decide as I like all three watches, but have to choose the best.

Thank you very much!

thank you for your inputs!
still torn... but leaning towards Roadster and Santos..:smile1:
I honestly love roadster foremost, but I can get the santos now at a good deal...
What do you girls think of the gray face Santos? should I just wait for a white face one?

Nothing beats the Tank!! It's design is soo stylish; a real 'modern classic'. But don't let tpf influence you too much. You have to look at your watch every day. I have the feeling your wear leaning towards the first model initially?
I've had the Tank for more than 10 years now and I stil feel very special wearing it. It's very understated chic.

I do want a roadster. it's my first choice. Next to roadster, I wanted a two-tone watch. Since 2-tone santos is more expensive than roadster, I decided before to get a roadster first.

But since now I'm presented with a good deal for a two-tone santos which I also like, I'm not sure if I should get it or hold out for a roadster (1st choice) later on. It would mean a more expensive purchase as compared to this particular santos available to me now. I might regret passing it up if I plan to buy a two-tone watch later on anyway.

you may think I should get the roadster since it's my first choice but then I thought even if I love the roadster, I may be able to use the santos more since most of my bags have gold hardware, and my trendy long necklaces are gold. (hence the confusion)

btw, the lemming for a tank, admittedly, is tpf's influence. :D

My judgement is clouded so can anyone please please give me their opinion of the gray face of the santos? If it's ugly then I won't have to choose anymore. I'm just worried it's not as classic as the white face? but i need your opinions. sorry for my dilemma

:girlsigh: I am in love with this watch... I NEED IT IN MY LIFE! Go with the two tone Santos... ;)

I have the Tank F. and Roadster. Love them both for different reasons. I think the Tank is very versatile. Roadster is my funkier watch. Even though I'm drawn more towards the looks of the Roadster, I would have to say the Tank F. comes in at #1.

If you want a two tone--then I that Santos is cool looking. I'm just kind of over two tone personally--I happily wear my gold stuff with a stainless watch. I used to be very matchy with my metal colors but now anything goes!

I can't tell about the silver face from that photo. I will tell you that since I am currently jonesing for a rolex date, I did some face-color studying. I decided that I prefer white over silver simply because i like the pop that a white face gives--where as the silver face kind of blends in. But I've seen some photos posted on this forum (that rolex thread--sigh) that have plenty of silver faces and they look great.

I think only you can decide which one you really want--honestly they're all very nice. I've decided to buy a used Rolex (and so I'm having to wait until the dealer can find one with my specific things I want). It's hard to wait but it will save me some serious moolay--so I'm not the one to say "Price be damned!" for sure!!

So--best of luck. Think about it you're having to choose between three beautiful things--it could be worse. . .
:)
