I am looking for a nice classic brown bag and have found several options. Which should I get?
1. LV speedy 30 monogram, love this bag but I find that everyone has one so its less original
2. Marc Jacobs stam, since there has been more talk of it being discontinued, maybe this is my chance? Is it too "old school"?
3. chanel brown classic or reissue in jumbo in brown
4. proenza schouler in brown, I have a mulberry alexa in oak, and am afraid it might be too similar
5. Balenciaga city in brown, I have the black, should I opt for more variety?

Any thoughts or any other suggestions?

I voted for the LV speedy 30 because it's a true classic specially for a brown bag! If you were looking for a Black bag my answer would have been Chanel classic flap or a Balenciaga city, but for a classic brown I say go LV speedy! I love mine & I don't really care how many others may own it. GL ;)

I voted for the LV Speedy. I can see how it can be a con, the fact many other people have it as well - but on the flip side, you could actually view it as a testament to how classic the bag really is. I have one (a 35 though, not a 30) and I love mine. I also voted the LV because of the color you stated (brown).


I would also vote either the Bal City (another bag I own, and love) or Chanel as the next choices after. But again, also as others before me have stated, given the color, LV might be the best choice.
